Xenia Kravchenko is based in Rome and works with ceramics, painting and etching. 

​

Xenia Kravchenko was born in Moscow, in 1975 . She graduated from the Stroganov Academy of Applied Arts' Faculty of Ceramics in Moscow.  In 2001 she moved to an island in the Sea of Marmara and worked as a visiting artist at the Eczacibasi Vitra Ceramics Art Studio in Istanbul. In addition to producing ceramics inspired by medieval Turkish pottery she is also a portrait painter and graphic artist. She has also worked as an artist in residence at the Scuola Internazionale di Graphica in Venice, Italy.

From 2016 till 2021 she was based in Oxford and was part of Magdalen Road Studio artists' collective.  In 2019 she became creative director of The Harlequin Guild, a group of artisans based in Venice creating hand made silk headpieces inspired by Commedia dell'Arte. 

In 2021 she has moved to Rome, Italy, where she currently lives.
